Lizette Pompa
Hello, my name is Lizette Pompa
Born in Mexico, I started my yoga journey while living in Madrid. After taking my first Yoga TT in USA 2010, I moved to Stockholm with my now-husband to finally open our yoga studio Hot Yoga Uppsala in Uppsala, Sweden, in 2011. My teaching style incorporates strength and functional movement in different ways; I like to integrate kettlebells and weights into the practice to build stronger bodies that are more resilient to stress and injuries. Empowering women through yoga and movement is an ongoing project for me. I want to inspire others to get physically and mentally strong while using traditional yoga mixed with kettlebells, strength drills, and workouts. www.lizettepompayoga.com |

FROM THE BLOG
Yoga with WeightsYoga, to me, is the time I can spend on my mat while being completely focused on myself. It's me being selfish. No one else around, not having to listen to someone or be distracted by something, it's my "me time" at it's best.
Using PropsI love the way props can enhance your practice by adding load, resistance, or tactile feedback for your body. If you still think that blocks are just a way to help the inflexible ones in class, think again.
The Importance of Practicing What You TeachI many times come across teachers who have lost the love for the practice but keep on teaching. I also many times come across classes where the teacher is just saying a script, they have either heard the same instructions many times coming from other teachers, and they repeat what they have listened to, or they just don't even bother to go beyond those words to understand what they actually mean.
